To finish off my image, I framed it to clean it up. I think that I am getting better at landscapes. I am getting quicker and learn more every time I paint one. I am happy with this image I think it is a simple but effective image.

I then started painting the mountains around, trying to keep a very cooled and deserted feeling.

I began by painting the sky with cool colours and rays of light shining down.

This is another of my own landscape. I had planed this image better then the last that I had done. For this image I want to paint a landscape that was somewhere very cold and mountainous.

This is the finished piece. I got very stuck on what to paint after I had finished the sky. I think in future I need to plan the painting more.

Besides that I am happy with it and will use that cloud brush again.

I then painted in the distance a small island.

I tried out my own landscape piece. Using a cloud brush on Photoshop, I painted this sky. I was rely pleased with the image at this point and was happy with the realism of the it.

I am very happy with my outcome. I worked hard to keep it as close as possible to the original. It is a very colourful image which made the task harder, but despite that I rely enjoyed it and learnt a lot.

Then finely, I painted the man and the smaller details that I had mist.

Then I painted in the mountains sounding the image.

I thought the best way to go about painting this image, was to start it as you would on your own painting.  So I started with the background and painted the  sky.

I then sketched a quick study of the painting, so that I new the placement of key objects.

I first set my screen out like this, so that I could work with the image that I needed to paint.

For the next few weeks we have been given personal tutorials and tasks to do. I have been asked to copy this painting as best I can.

Night crawler
I then thicken the black line and defined the image more. I like the action pose that I finalized the image in. I am very happy with the outcome. I decided to keep the image in black and white. I felt the image stands out without colour and holds shape.

Night crawler

I then choose my three favourite and sketched out there muscle tone.

Seeing as this brief was all about interesting poses I decided to start silhouetting some ideas. I rely enjoyed this process, I wanted to continue but I had to stop due to managing the time I had on this piece. I tried to keep the character of night crawler with in the silhouette. I think I managed to draw good varieties of different poses for me to choose from.

This week we were asked come up with an interesting pose for the marvel character Night crawler.

These are the reference images I used for my work. I found inspiration in not only night crawler images, but other comic characters in acrobatic poses.

Darrken Tutorial

These are my images compared with Darrken’s images. I think I did well and managed to keep a resemblance.

Darrken tutorial

Here is my finished piece. I rely liked this tutorial. I tried to keep to the time constraints that Darrken did. The reason I did this is to try and push the speed of my painting ability, seeing as that is what the tutorial was all about.

This is my process to my Darrken tutorial.
